Multipurpose online video conferencing software for business and pleasure: finding the right one

By James Galloway

Video conference software truly is multipurpose and brings many opportunities to the table. Collaborating online is now essential as the demand for this has increased dramatically. Due to technologies continued pace we are able to do some great things over the Internet and by far one of the best we have seen is full way live video streaming via a conference application.

Conferencing and meetings have played a huge role in business growth and development for years. In the early days, a simple whiteboard meeting in a small office was the general procedure. It is still done today but limits to numbers, location, and functionality.

Larger meetings would traditionally be held in larger offices and hired venues. These kinds normally need to cover more ground so typically a projection screen and possibly a PowerPoint slide show would be used. These are still conducted today but seem very unnecessary when you consider the costs that go into them. Especially when technology is giving us the same experience but for a low cost!

The costs for these larger meetings include many and combined can cost the company a huge chunk from the budget. To start with the hiring of a large enough venues with all the necessary amenities can go into many tens of thousands of dollars, transportation, entertainment and refreshments are a few other costs from the top of my head. These kinds of meetings are just no longer

So now we have online conferencing software which is designed to replace and replicate that of an off line conference. Due to technology this is now possible, to start with it was a struggle, but now it has come on leaps and bounds with online conferencing becoming a must have tool.

With the advances in online tools, video streaming, broadband speeds, global connectivity, and super software, we are now able to really experience true online global communication with a whole host of tools, functions, and features to replicate that of an offline meeting, no matter how large. In fact, in many cases, this gives us a lot more. We are able to plan, host, and conduct an online conference within hours, or even minutes of choosing.

Simple online rooms streaming direct from a server allow the attendees to login instantly to the conference from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection.

There are many options out there, for large or small companies. The providers are growing in numbers just like when we had the boost in mobile phones, with their services, and now apps. Most providers offer a free service which includes a smaller room and a few basic functions.

These trials and smaller limited rooms work great and you will soon see the potential and benefits, so much so I know you will want to run your own platform on a regular basis. Once you have finished with giving it a spin you will see that most providers cater for all kinds of businesses and company sizes. Find the package which suits you and your business best.

This technology certainly does what it claims and totally replicates its off line ancestor. By far the most attractive advantage is the money you can save, I have seen a 50 seat conference room for $8.97 a month. That is outstanding value.
