I told them that we were at the threshold of getting the software that would change how we do things, they were very happy.
I was promised a plaque in my honor or at least a few free lunches if I should somehow get the boss to sign off on decent software. I chuckled, but I was pleased that I had their support for modernizing the office. Soon enough, I found myself in a meeting with the people in charge and presented my findings in a careful, thoughtful way, making it clear which options I recommended. I could tell that my techniques were working and that my boss was going to be on board with my suggestion, so I made a further suggestion, telling him that web based Electronic Medical Records Software would be quite useful as well.
