When I Tried Using Medical Billing Services In My Medical Practice, It Made All The Improvement In The World!

A few years ago I attained my dream of opening my own medical practice, but I would have run into real problems if I had not gotten medical billing services. As soon as I finished with medical school, I worked in a hospital for a while as a way to get some experience. Once I had gotten some helpful experience and training, I decided I wanted to open up my own podiatry clinic. I already had some clients in the area who I had worked with before, so I was kicking off on the right foot. I did need some help, though and my wife's sister had recently finished an online course in accounting, so we decided to bring her in to manage and run the billing portion of the business.

I'm sorry to report that this arrangement did not precisely go as well as I had thought it should. While she was great at balancing the books and doing some light bookkeeping, she just did not have a knack for billing. She was not keeping the billing very organized and I was very concerned when we had some of our patients protest that they had been billed improperly.

Because she was family, I didn't want to just let her go, so I was very appreciative when another doctor friend of mine told me about how they hire an outside company to do their medical billing services. I felt like this was the answer I was searching for and wanted to know more about it, but when I asked my friend, he did not know the details of it.

As soon as I got home that day, I got on the computer and looked up some different Medical Billing Companies online, and I was able to find a bunch of different options. I signed up right away, and could hardly wait to see how this system would work out.

My sister-in-law was not bothered by this because I told her I was easing her burdens and was still allowing her to handle payroll and expenses, which I knew she was great at. Right away, things began going so much better, the stress level dropped way down and everyone seemed so much happier. Not only did we find a better balance in the workplace, but we made our patient load much more manageable as we could spend more time dealing with patients and the more important issues of running a medical practice. We've been implementing this system for several months now, and we have had absolutely no problems with the billing, which means that I simply could not be happier.
