My Family Loved This - Google Antivirus Software Critique

By Andrew Foster

Amazon's price was so good, and the "free partial featured products" don't make sense. This one is the best so far.

This is a great product work fine. I had Norton Internet Security for several years and have always been happy with it. I have not had any problems since. I ordered the product with the best price.

This is a great option for a desktop/laptop user because it's cheaper than having to buy 3 individual copies. I have been using Norton for a few years now and I will continue to use it...very good product, not perfect but good. Now, every-time I boot my computer, I open Norton and turn the whole thing off until next reboot. It is inconvenient and time consuming to do this, but that is how annoying I find this software. I love the Norton products. So, they play a rough game, you have to add to your arsenal. Malwarebytes will not get every virus either. Also, the Insight protection and the flagging of questionable sites on a Google search has helped me avoid headaches (after learning what ignoring those warnings can lead to). And now Symantec is posting its daily list of 100 most troublesome sites. As soon I installed it, it detected 2 viruses my other antivirus had not detected. The best part is it does not slow down your computer like most of the other antivirus.

It's very tiring buying software that basically exists to keep your operating system working the way it should do straight out of the box anyway. It is dead money.

Here again, good judgment is needed, Norton's Internet Security help with making sound judgments. This goes along with Norton's anti-phishing, parental control management, proactive performance alerts, Norton's insight, system wide and downloading, and identity safe. I've been using Norton Internet Security for over two years now. It has been a very impressive program, not too intrusive and it is not a resource hog on my computers.

Unfortunately, their removal tool removes all history, settings, and worst of all, all quarantined files. In the brief period that the product worked before saying that it had expired, it moved four files into quarantine.

So, not to be one who holds all his eggs in one basket, I bought Malwarebytes Anti-malware software and ran it to check for malware and viruses. Guess what, there were 16 Trojan viruses on my computer that were NOT identified by NIS. Getting a bad disc was a pain but Norton took care of it. Also like to say that I have never had a virus or break-in of my computers since using it.
